It does the same thing in the same place as i close it. If you have air flow but it is not cold check the blend door for operation first. When the weather was cold the car creaked popped groaned and made all kinds of noise. If you compressor turns on and the low side pipe going into the firewall of the engine compartment is getting cold around 30 40 degrees and you are not getting the same temperature air out of the dash vents then you have a vent ducting or fan problem.

Anyone know if it just might need something like wd 40 or if i need to take it somewhere. Most power door locks operate using gears or motors that may quietly whir or make noise when they operate. It feels fine like it s not loose or anything it s just really loud and annoying. When the driver side door is opened there is a clunk sound about half way through the swing.

The sound is coming from the front of the door. It often collects grime and dust which can create a noise when you open the door. The door check is what holds the car door to the frame and keeps the door from closing once it is opened. When the door is closed there is a couple clunks then a thud.

Unusual noises coming from inside the door are one of the first symptoms of a potential problem with a power door lock actuator. I know on mine the door hinge was making the popping. Those noises are normal.
